Awesome grill.....love using it

Love the grill....the cover they sell isnt so good....leaks like a screen door so I coated it with? a? spray on water repellent (scotchgard) which helps a bit.? I also bought this automotive cargo tray to cover the cooking surface before I put the cover on so that I dont need a tetanus shot to get all the rust off the cast iron surface when I want to cookFH Group F16407-40 Black 40" Premium Multi-Use Cargo Tray ...flip it upside down over the cast iron after it cools then put the cover over that.I also took a trick from an old timer who suggested buy some lard and after I cook and clean the grill use the lard to condition the cooktop....big difference and I wipe the coating off with paper towels before I cook....it is conditioning twice as fast this way...great tip though lard was a bit? harder to find than I imagined.

man I can't even explain how much more awesome it is to work

I've had this griddle now for over a month or two, I have no complaints about it, and my family has no complaints about the the food cooked on it. We have used this griddle so much in the last month or so that I bought a 40lbs. propane tank for it, and I'm thinking I might need to get a 100lbs. tank. It takes less than a few minutes to put together when you receive it, but does take a little time and effort to season at first. After I seasoned it, it was [****] bar the doors! Breakfast!, pancakes, bacon, cheesy eggs. Lunch, hamburgers and fixings's including fries all done on the griddle. Supper was steaks and American fried potatoes'. I just bought the shelf kit for this griddle a couple of weeks ago, man I can't even explain how much more awesome it is to work,( have fun) on this griddle it is! Buy one and let your inner cook come out! Only problem I see is the wife won't see a mess in "her' kitchen so everybody wins!

5 STAR PRODUCT

I love this griddle. It cooks everything perfectly. I have cooked all kinds of different things on this griddle and nothing has stuck to it except for a little cheese. It takes practice if your not used to this style of cooking but it is well worth it. It gets plenty hot even on medium low, it cleans up very easily, its pretty mobile for moving around the patio and it has lots of room on the cooking surface for cooking for your family.? The grease trough could be better/deeper and as people have mentioned the grease wants to run back up the underside of the trough, but it is an easy fix with a piece of coat hanger shaped like a V and dropped in the drip hole. The grease moves down the wire and drips in the tray.? Keep it well oiled when not in use and its ready to go when you are.? WARNING: I live in the deep south where it is very hot and humid in the summer months and it is not much fun trying to cook on this thing when its 100 degrees outside. There is lot of heat coming off the surface and out of the sides. That being said I am looking forward to getting a chance to cooking on it when its cool and crisp outside.

Excellent

Looking at the price and not sure if you really want one? Well you do want it. Probably never use a traditional gas grill again.? You can cook so much simultaneously,? before you know it,? dinner is done. Easy clean and seasoning is a snap.

One of my favorite Walmart purchases.

I've had the? 36 inch flat top for just over two weeks now and I have nothing but good to say about it.? Seasoning the rolled iron surface was key in the process so I watched numerous videos on youtube about it.? I ended up using just plain lard for the seasoning, cycling through the heating and cooling cycles 8 times.? I've cooked burgers, dogs, breakfasts, fajitas, veggies, steaks, chicken, tortillas, etc. so far and absolutely nothing is sticking to the top.? Clean up is a 3 or 4 minute effort making this an even more attractive cooking option.? Though it's rolled iron and not cast iron the results are very similar to my favorite cast iron skillet.? I do live in a very humid and rainy environment, so I am keeping it stored in my garage (propane bottle is kept outside!!) to keep it out of the elements.Regarding the issue I've read about with the grease drip hole not properly dripping into the grease catch cup - I'm not sure if mine has a newer modification or not, but just on the underside by the hole there is a factory welded bead about 1/4 the size of a marble.? This little bump directs the drippings perfectly into the cup as it's designed to do.? Not having seen older models I don't know if this is a newer addition or not.? I just know that mine DOES function properly.I've also not experienced any issues with the burners lighting.? I will light the #1 burner (furthest left) and, with it on high, turn on the next.? When it lights, I do the same for the #3 and 4 burners.I really do wish I'd discovered this years back.? It's a great complimentary tool to my charcoal grill.
